	The four-year old Silverstone-based Force India 
	team, has evolved from many incarnations – Jordan Grand Prix, Midland, and 
	Spyker.  Vijay 
	Mallya, Chairman of India's UB Group, and Jan & Michel Mol, Dutch 
	businessmen, purchased the team from Spyker Cars N.V in October 2007 and 
	renamed it Force India, representing India and giving it the colours of the 
	Indian flag. The newly 
	incarnated team, in early 2008 made history as the first Indian team to 
	participate in FIA Formula One World Championship. The team drivers were 
	Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil, supported by Tonio Liuzzi as test and 
	reserve driver. The team finished the year with no points. But it is a different story today. Force India has 
	moved from the back of the grid to a team able to run in the top ten.
