Goa International Photo Festival 2015

Street scene by Prateek Dubey

Photo Fests are new to India – the nation’s first photography festival was held only four years ago in New Delhi.

Goa, the ‘happy-state’ known for its beaches,  seafood, Feni, churches, and a laid back lifestyle, held its first international photo festival in February 2015 in Ucassaim, a small scenic village in North Goa rich in flora and rustic charm, showcasing the work of photographers from India and overseas.

The Goa International Photo Festival, organised by THE ONE SCHOOL GOA, a premium photography and multimedia institute, has attracted exceptional work from over 75 photographers and visual artists —working in diverse genres - Fine Art, Documentary, Advertising, Fashion photography - in India and abroad. They have captured moments in everyday life, sunsets, endangered tribes, disappearing traditions, film stars, slum dwellers, and more.

The diverse works selected for this photo feature are the works of Indian photographers  – India seen through their lens.  Their images are as diverse as India itself.
