Vyjayanthimala Bali
Age 70
"I don't understand this concept of getting aged. I am still young
at heart and I personally feel that only
now I am at my peak. My best is yet to come."
Bharatnatyam danseuse (she still gives dance performances), film actress,
former Congress MP (resigned in 1999) - now with BJP, Golfer- National Golf
Championship (15 Handicap). She was introduced to the game by her late husband Dr.
Bali.

Between east and west", Ravi Shankar's sitar and music have

Ustad Bismillah Khan
Age 85
Recently awarded the Bharat Ratna,
Ustad Bismillah Khan's Shehnai has been the Prologue for many
important State functions. Generations have grown up listening to his
lilting dhuns. A soft-spoken and a congenial man in private,
Bismillah Khan is a living legend.

Age 72
Few need introduction to Lata
Mangeshkar, Bharat Ratna. Her voice and songs have a following the
world over. She has had countless hits - and is still singing. Also a
Member, Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Indian Parliament)
