Dr. Karan Singh in Concert

It isn’t everyday that one gets to hear eminent scholars or statesmen take to the stage to sing. Some Delhiites had the privilege of just that. Dr Karan Singh, MP and President ICCR gave a recital – his first ever – on February 22 at Azad Bhavan. His Dogri songs, especially, had everybody clamouring for more. Mrs Gursharan Kaur, wife of India’s Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, was the Chief Guest. Dr Radhika Chopra, a known ghazal singer, got the evening rolling.
